It’s Opening Night for the Lady Dragons! Southlake Carroll opens the 2019-20 season tonight at Prosper High School’s beautiful arena.
Prosper is coming off a 29-10 season, advancing all the way to the Class 6A Region II Championship game. Carroll returns four starters from last season’s playoff squad, which was Head Coach Robyn McCoart’s first season at the helm of the program.
The Lady Dragons return top scorer Jillian Sowell, who was District 5-6A Offensive Player of the Year and the top 3-point shooter in North Texas last season. Juniors Brittney Flexer, Jordyn Sowell and Kaelyn Riley are the other returning starters.
Senior Allyson Medici moves into the starting lineup this season and is one of four Seniors on the roster, including JillIan Sowell, Ashley Stelling and Sarah Goodman. Key reserves to start the season include Juniors Kalila Fambro and Kelsey Boyette, Sophomore Kiley Swanson and Freshman Camryn Tade.
