2019-20 OUTLOOK—Junior Team Captain, Brittney enters her 3rd season on the Lady Dragon Varsity, poised to build upon a 2nd Team All-District sophomore season where she emerged as a team leader, gritty competitor and key distributor of the basketball.


2018-19 (SOPHOMORE)—After making her varsity debut one month into her freshman season, Brittney became the Lady Dragons starting point guard, starting all 25 games in which she played...scored 102 points, dished out 87 assists, grabbed 98 rebounds with 33 steals...led the Lady Dragons to 8 wins in 11 games in December, including a 4-0 start to District 5-6A play before suffering a knee injury that forced her to miss 8 league games...played an instrumental role in a 62-60 road win at Flower Mound Marcus, scoring 13 points with 7 rebounds and 7 steals...tallied 7 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds and 2 steals in an 83-74 overtime loss to eventual TAPPS state champion Bishop Lynch.

2017-18 (FRESHMAN)—played in 17 varsity games, scoring 62 points with 31 rebounds, 23 assists, 20 steals, and 3 blocked shots … shot 62% from the free throw line (13x21) … scored a career high 12 points in a 72-35 win over Arlington Sam Houston … made her varsity debut on December 8, 2017, scoring 9 points in a 46-43 win over Euless Trinity.

BRITTNEY’S BIO

  • Born in Colorado but got to Texas as quickly as she could, attending Kindergarten at Johnson Elementary School
  • Favorite sports team ever was The Hoopsters—“I had the opportunity to play for my dad and with my two older sisters,” Brittney said.  “This was the first basketball team I had ever been a part of.”
  • A member of PALS and Hope Sauad, Brittney’s favorite school subject is APUSH:  “I enjoy learning about history and the impact people had in the past.
  • Favorite teacher is Coach Bates, her 10th grade history teacher.
  • Favorite entertainer is country music singer/songwriter Thomas Rhett.  “Friends”, “The Office”, and “My Cousin Vinny” are her favorite TV shows.
  • Brittney has two older sisters who are in college, her mom is nurse at Carroll Senior High, and her dad played football at Ohio University.
  • She enjoys dancing with her family and going to church with her friends on Wednesday nights.
  • She has yet to decide where she will attend college but would like to teach history and be a coach.
