2 — ALLYSON MEDICI — SENIOR — GUARD

2019-20 OUTLOOK — Senior Captain and versatile, all-around athlete, Allyson fills a valuable role on the team on both ends of the court.  A hard worker with a positive attitude, she is an athletic, slashing penetrator with a quick release who can provide instant offense.  She is a team leader expected to log key minutes at guard.

2018-19 (JUNIOR)—Academic All-District player who averaged 6.6 points per game in District 5-6A, starting at point guard in 9 district games...earned Honorable Mention All-District honors, scoring 164 points (4.7 ppg) in 33 games, shooting 38% (65x173) with 72 rebounds (2.2) and 30 assists...career high 13 points (5x7) in 46-28 win over Keller in district opener...averaged 10 ppg, including 5x8 (63%) from 3-point range, in 4-game stretch vs. Timber Creek, Keller, Guyer, & Byron Nelson.

2017-18 (SOPHOMORE)—played in 2 varsity games, scoring 10 points (5.0 ppg) with 3 assists, 1 rebound, and 1 steal...shot 71% (5x7) from 2-point range … scored a career high 8 points on 4-for-6 shooting in a 72-35 win over Arlington Sam Houston on December 28, 2017.

MEDICI’S MUSINGS

• Born in Massachusetts but arrived in Texas in time to be a Carroll Dragon in Kindergarten … first started playing basketball in 2nd grade

• Favorite sports team she ever played on was 10th grade Junior Varsity with Coach Shatina Lewis.

• National Honor Society

• Math is her favorite subject “because I want to be a civil engineer and I love math.”

• Favorite teacher was Mrs. Walker for math her junior year.

• Favorite shows are the Harry Potter series and Friends.

• Favorite entertainer is Ashley Stelling.

• BIG part of her life is her church youth group at Southlake Baptist Church— “I like hanging with friends, being a part of my church youth group, playing basketball, and spending time with my family.”

• Wants to study Civil Engineering at Clemson University, her father’s alma mater, and eventually wants to work with him

• Father, Jeffrey Medici, is a real estate developer, and mother, Pamela Medici, is a dentist.  Sister, Anna Medici, is a freshman at Faith Christian.

• Loves Pizza and her parents, her biggest supporters.
