23 —ASHLEY STELLING — SENIOR — POST

2019-20 OUTLOOK — In her second season on Varsity, Ashley is expected to continue to develop her skills as a 4-5 player.  Her positive attitude, determined work ethic and intelligence, make her a respected and valuable teammate.  She provides a physical inside presence in the middle of the Lady Dragon defense and on the boards.

2018-19 (JUNIOR)—Academic All-District...Lady Dragon Sportsmanship Award...Coach McCoart:  “To know Ashley is to love Ashley. She is always happy, always positive, and puts the team before herself.  She is always pushing to help her teammates get better. I have never seen Ashley have a bad day and she genuinely cares and has concern for her teammates.”...scored 6 points and grabbed 5 rebounds vs Lake Worth.

ABOUT ASHLEY

• Born in Dallas and has been a Carroll Dragon ever since Kindergarten 

• Member of National Honor Society, HOPE, PALS, Vacation Bible School, Church Youth Group

• Favorite sports team she ever played on is Lady Dragon Varsity Basketball:  “Everyone is so close, and it is so fun.”

• Favorite subject is Math:  “You can either get a right or a wrong answer, there is no in-between.”

• Favorite teacher ever was Mrs. Cox, 11th grade:  “She got the job done but interacted with the students.”

• Likes interacting with kids and hanging with friends and family.

• Favorite entertainer:  Sarah Goodman (TikTok Queen)

• Favorite Athlete:  Kaelyn Riley…”always gives 100%”

• Favorite shows are Safe Haven, Friends, Big Brother, Bachelor/Bachelorette

• Would like to attend Texas A&M, Texas, Texas Tech, or Oklahoma State and wants to be an elementary school teacher and change lives.
